I am Anna Csekőné Hajduk a Hungarian retoucher and commercial image editor.
In this section, you will find a longer description about me, my experiences, work style, my future plans, and those who inspire my work.
From a young age, I dreamed of capturing the world through photography, and that dream came true when I began my journey into the realm of photo editing. The enchanting world of Photoshop has always fascinated me. Since 2021, I have been working as a freelance retoucher and photo editor, taking on a variety of projects. Collaboration is key for me. I like to establish a personal connection with each of my clients and understand their needs. I am flexible and often work on weekends. In my opinion, a good retoucher not only edits images but also considers every factor and stands behind the photographer/client even in more significant issues!
I have had the pleasure of collaborating with photographers, e-commerce businesses, larger companies, and studios. Occasionally, individuals also reach out to me for assistance with editing and enhancing their images. I truly enjoy the diversity of my work—each project presents its own unique challenges and requires a different approach and set of skills.
As a mother of two young children, having a flexible work schedule is essential for me, allowing me to manage the delicate balance between family and work seamlessly.
Expertise
My journey into the world of photography and Photoshop has evolved significantly over the years. I have professional training as a photographer and gained valuable insights from my mentor, who introduced me to e-commerce image editing.
Since 2021, I have focused on editing and retouching images in various fields, including portraits, nude photography, and e-commerce for products, clothing and accessories.

My retouching approach: Tools, workflow, and quality standards
I am proficient in Photoshop, adept with tools such as layers, masks, curvature tools, curves, selections, reshape tools, liquify, mixer brush, camera raw, etc. My workflow involves planning the editing process and automating repetitive tasks to enhance efficiency. I employ frequency separation in my retouching process, ensuring I do not over-smooth the low-frequency layer. I have a strong preference for naturalness in my work.
I utilize helper curves and clipping paths to ensure flawless product isolation, which speeds up my workflow. Prior to delivering perfect images, I conduct thorough quality checks to maintain high standards. Furthermore, I enjoy projects where the goal is to achieve professional, completely clean, and flawless images. It is challenging for me to work below this quality standard, which is why I prefer more complex projects that require greater effort over fast, high-volume work.
Of course, I work with licensed software, using a digital tablet, a calibrated monitor, a reliable computer and high-speed internet, and I am also familiar with Lightroom and Adobe Bridge to expedite my work. In addition, I have been developing my skills in Illustrator and vector graphics, expanding my creative capabilities.
Future vision
I believe there is always room for improvement and growth. I'm constantly learning and keeping up with current trends, as well as following the latest developments in Adobe products, which I incorporate into my work whenever possible. I aim to continue expanding my skill set not only in retouching but also in other creative fields, such as illustration and vector graphics. I'm also highly interested in exploring 3D graphics and retouching. Mastering new techniques and tools allows me to work on a wider variety of projects.
While I have several returning clients, I am eager to collaborate with studios, photographers, marketing agencies, or brand-building companies that value high-quality work on both small and large projects.
Inspiration
Behind my creations is always a deep respect and admiration for the work of a few photographers who truly inspire me. They create perfect, professional-quality photography that always captures my attention and motivates me. Below, I’m sharing some of my favourite photographers whose standards I aspire to reach. Their images encourage me every day to become even better.
